This is a free online tool that can help you research keywords. You can type in a keyword phrase and it will list related phrases as well as the number of times the keyword phrase was searched the previous month. The biggest drawbacks is the results can be somewhat misleading sometimes and it only lets you put in one phrase at a time.

Wordtracker Keyword Research
Wordtracker costs money unfortunately; however I have found it to be worth the investment. Wordtracker is very similar to the overture keyword tool but is more powerful. It takes information from meta crawlers such as hotbot.com and some of the smaller search engines to estimate the number of times it was searched last month. It will also give reports on how many websites are competing for that specific keyword phrase.
